The gun is great, the breaking process has been a little longer than manufacturing recommendations. About 500 rounds. Other than that love the weight balance and over all performance of the gun. Might try to get one in 45 ACP next!

The Kimber Stainless Ultra Raptor is significantly better than my Jam-O-Matic Remington Enhanced, more accurate than my Ruger, but on par with my Springfield RO. I was fortunate not to have any FTFs during break in, but the smoothness does improve after a few hundred rounds. It’s a trade-off for a tight fit. I am at the 700 round point, and I am very happy with it.
I really like 10mm too. Just like the other reviewer, my front sight also came loose. A little blue loctite works. I should ding it a star for that, but what can I say, we’re bonded, like copper and lead. This is a great 9mm value at this price
Best handgun need bring in –
Here’s how it went: First range trip, shot 150 rounds of S&B ammo with about 10% nose up FTF, took gun home and cleaned it. Second range trip, tried Sig ammo and no FTF but front sight fell off after 85 rounds. Cleaned again and lock tightened on front sight. Third range trip, SIg and Remington ammo, 100 rounds with no FTF. Fourth range trip, same Sig and Remington ammo, no FTF, I’m happy.
After the break in the 9mm shoots accurate with very manageable recoil. So add $300 worth of ammo to the price of the gun for the break in. Could not give it five stars because of the break in, it should work out-of-the box, but in fairness to Kimber, they do tell you in the manual about the break in.

I ran 250 rounds through. Cleaned every 50. No hiccups. All 1911’s require break in. This is great value.

I bought this gun last month and I love it. it is accurate. Not sure why others are having jamming and issues but mine has run like a well oiled machine right out of the box. I’d be happy to shoot against anyone in a competitive shootout. Great gun. A++++
